About Us

The Fallen Stars are an Americana Rock band from Southern California that believes a good story can break your heart and a driving guitar riff can put it back together again, all in the space of a three minute song.

"Listen to the Fallen Stars' Americana, and you hear a great, rollicking band. But see them live, and it's the difference between Elvis in the studio and early 1970s Elvis, when he was starting shows with "Also Sprach Zarathustra," then owning crowds with just a sneer of the lip. Don't believe us? Catch them live and find out for yourself."

Lots of stuff going on beyond just our shows.

Friday night we'll be at a new place for us in Seal Beach and looking forward to that and next week I have a solo show at the Coach House opening for David Wilcox but the big news for us this week is that Tracy got laid off from her job of over 20 years. So if you felt like buying a cd or a download - now is a good time.* We're not going to play the sympathy card too much but if you know of a company that could use a Senior Learning and Performance…

It's been a helluva year. I guess that can be said most years but this year had more upheaval and change for us than usual. I'm still not done processing it all - Lots of good stuff and some that was less than good, I guess that's a subject for a new album. We'll get there.  It was nice having my solo album named in the top 15 albums of the year by NBT Radio in Germany - I like being on best of lists.

Hope this holiday season has been fun filled for you as well. We have one last show before we say…

Yep, Tracy and I have been married 20 years today!

So that's a bit of a milestone. How do we celebrate? By playing a gig of course! See you tonight at Beatnik!

And in the meantime - dig this new article from the OC Weekly

September 12, 2017

Hey Everybody!

So it's been a little while. Sorry about that - Tracy and I have been on the east coast and now we're back west and moved into our new place in Anaheim* and getting used to the Disney fireworks every night at 9 pm. And having a new neighborhood means finding some new venues and keeping up with the old ones as well.**

Oh! And the OC Weekly! I had an interview this week with the Weekly and it should be in Thursday's paper - so that's pretty cool. I'm becoming a regular interviewee type of…

Well that was a summer.  I think all told I played about 65 shows in 80 days across Europe. All of which I documented in my tour diary.*

I'm writing you from Cape Cod, Dennisport to be more specific. If you don't know where that is, imagine Cape Cod as an arm sticking out of Massachusetts and we are just before the elbow. Tracy and I are sort of relaxing. Well, it is very relaxing here - we can see the ocean as it's only about 50 yards away and there's a nice seabreeze blowing in the windows. I've been…
