Hey Everybody!

So it's been a little while. Sorry about that - Tracy and I have been on the east coast and now we're back west and moved into our new place in Anaheim* and getting used to the Disney fireworks every night at 9 pm. And having a new neighborhood means finding some new venues and keeping up with the old ones as well.**

Oh! And the OC Weekly! I had an interview this week with the Weekly and it should be in Thursday's paper - so that's pretty cool. I'm becoming a regular interviewee type of person and it's hard to not sound stupid in these things!***

Shows:

Wednesday, Sept 13 - Tracy and Bobbo's Anniversary
Beatnik Bandito Music Emporium
417 N. Broadway, Santa Ana, CA
Americana Music Night
w/ Mario Rojas and Young Valley
Show at 8 we're on at 9:30

Now what's cool and unusual about this show is that 1) It's me and Tracy's 20th Wedding Anniversary so we will be bringing cake with us. and 2) Tracy and I will be joined by Kyrie Anderson and Django Rowe, they are friends of ours from Australia - Kyrie plays drums and Django plays guitar. They are just in town for 2 days and they're playing this show and then going to Disneyland. It's going to be way fun.

Sunday, Sept 17
Can't Stop The Serenity - Orange County
AMC Classic Woodbridge Cinema
4626 Barranca Parkway, Irvine, CA
2-6 pm - we play before the afternoon matinee of Serenity.

Now this show will be our Firefly themed music. We'll be playing songs from our two Leaves on the Wind Music Project cds and proceeds from today will benefit Equality Now. We did a rehearsal for it last night and it was sounding amazing. We had Matt Froehlich on the cajon kit, Georgiana Hennessy on the violin and Matt Tonge on mandolin and banjo.

We're super excited for these shows as they will be unique and lots of fun. Really hope you can make it out to one or both of the shows!

And this week's free song is "Stronger than Steel" from our Firefly project. It's a song about how we often don't see how strong women are underneath but just see how pretty they are on the surface. It's probably one of the prettiest songs we've ever written and we tried to capture the spirit of a fancy ball where folks would be waltzing - feel free to waltz along with it.

Alrighty, back to unpacking stuff - I have actually planted some zucchini in the backyard and some flowers out front already! I'm a regular Farmer Bobbo!

As always, thanks for hanging with us and see you soon.

Bobbo, Tracy (and this week: Kyrie, Django, Geo, Matt T and Matt F.)

*Sue: Hey man, you're not from here, alright. You don't know how it is. I grew up in L.A.
Trent: Anaheim.

**Looking to book at the Packing House in Anaheim soon. Anyone have the contact there?

***I'm hoping I was successful in this endeavor.
