So we're all sad and tired here in TFS/RATS land* - Ben flew out to France last Friday** and then Tracy and I went and played Whedonopolis in Los Angeles. If you're a fan of Joss Whedon's work*** then you would've had a great time. We had a great time and even got to play 2 sets of our Firefly "Leaves on the Wind Music Project" at their prom night. It was Shiny.****
Now I have two shows this coming weekend. Why just me? Well, a couple of reasons; 1) I booked a solo show. 2) Tracy needs some recoup/downtime after all the touring and shows. 3) I have a month solo tour booked in Europe in September that I need to prepare for!
I'm really looking forward to this - I've never done anything like this before. New challenges! I'm building a fun solo set to perform.

Free song today is "Heart like mine" from the album of the same name. I'll be playing it on Saturday. If you're listening to the words and you think "but this wiring in my head won't let me get it out" and it makes no sense to you, well that's because you weren't watching the same rerun of the tv show "Just Shoot Me" as I was. In that episode the older, former model meets the daughter she gave up for adoption when she was a teenager - the two get in a fight and the daughter points to her head and says "Oh, and thanks for the faulty wiring!" I thought that was a funny thing to say and there you have it. A window into the amazing and wonderful world of songwriting!*****
