About Us

The Fallen Stars are an Americana Rock band from Southern California that believes a good story can break your heart and a driving guitar riff can put it back together again, all in the space of a three minute song.

"Listen to the Fallen Stars' Americana, and you hear a great, rollicking band. But see them live, and it's the difference between Elvis in the studio and early 1970s Elvis, when he was starting shows with "Also Sprach Zarathustra," then owning crowds with just a sneer of the lip. Don't believe us? Catch them live and find out for yourself."

New Drummer & 400 Hits in two days!

That's right!  We're very happy to announce Chad Smith as our new drummer.  Now I know a few of you out there are going to say "Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers?!?"

Um, no.  It's a different Chad Smith.  But don't be sad.  This Chad is also a really great drummer.  He has nice hair and great timing.  We just got home from a great reherasal tonight and can't wait for you all to see him/meet him at our Dipiazzas gig next week.

And I just found out that our video for "Glad" has reached over 400…Read more

Our first *real* video, Firefly stuff, SoCal Shows and more

So it's been awhile since I've written. Sorry, we were just so crazy on our tour in Europe and then the 23 hour trip on a train, a bus and 3 airplanes - we've needed some readjusting. BUT there's so much good stuff going on I have to tell you 4 things:

1) Our first *real* music video is done and can be seen here.
2) Our Firefly cd release show is going to be at a screening of the Firefly movie in September
3) We have some SoCal shows, one this week and 2 next week.
4) How awesome our tour was,…Read more

Tracy's Tour Blog & SoCal happenings

So yeah.  We're still a bit jetlagged from our 25 hours traveling from Berlin to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to Boston, Boston to Los Angeles...  It was a day with trains, buses and planes.  It's good to sleep in our own bed but we're already missing being on tour.

Tracy did a tour diary that has been great fun and...words and stuff.  Here's a link to it

And here in SoCal - we're playing at Sam Ash Music store in Westminster on Thursday, Aug 15 at 7 pm.

And the cd release for our "Leaves on the Wind"…Read more

Ok, finally got on a computer and can update some stuff.

Day 3/4:

Rode bikes all over Berlin, well mostly in the PrenzlauerBerg area. Look it up. Seriously. It was like the front line of the cold war in '61. Crazy history. Saw where the church was, the church that sat vacant for 25 years in No-Man's-Land of the Berlin Wall. Did I upload the pics? I think I did.

Then went out clubbing to a place called White Trash. If this place were in LA, it would be the best club in LA.
The to Club Bassy where it was country night. Huge disconnect in my brain seeing…Read more

Hey Folks,
So I'm writing you from our flat in Berlin, turns out where we are staying is in the former GDR, or East Berlin. If this was 1989 we'd be behind the Berlin Wall!!
We've been walking around an seeing the sites = pics and storyline are on our facebook pages and we're trying to get them to sync on our website. links below. This city is a lot like us, breakfast places open at 10 am and everyone goes…

Welcome Browncoats!

Are you a fan of Firefly? Then you'll love our new music project, Leaves on the Wind! Our goal is to write a brand new original song based on each episode of the tv series Firefly, plus the feature film Serenity. Fifteen songs in all - just right for a trilogy of EPs! Keep an eye on our Browncoats page to follow our progress!
